Mike Patton on Eddie Van Halen
Mike Patton talks about the excitement of buying a new Van Halen cassette when he was a kid. He regrets he never saw them live, which, If you think about it, it's weird. How can it be? He is Mike Patton. I am 100% positive he could arrange to meet them in-person if he would have tried.
“I remember having my parents drop me off at one of the local record stores. There were only like two in the town that I grew up in. And I go, ‘I gotta get this record, I gotta get this record.’ It was [1980’s] Women and Children First, and my parents parked [the car]. And they were like, ‘Can we come in with you?’ I’m like, ‘No, no, no,’ ’cause I didn’t want them to see what I was buying. They would have maybe objected to it. And I remember getting that f**king record and hugging it when I got home and listening to it. Actually, it was a cassette. Yeah, I hugged a cassette!.”
Christmas special
A two hour Christmas edition of Bob’s acclaimed radio show. Bob plays songs that you probably never heard but does it with his style and adds comments between songs. “Well it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. And for the next couple of hours, it’s going to sound like Christmas too. This is the special yuletide extravaganza...”

A Rock-theatre spectacular
After watching some Netflix shows with my wife on a Friday night, I had an idea to look for full concerts on Youtube. It is something I have wanted to do for some time. Since the Corona thing started, there were no live concerts anymore, and I really miss it. So I was bold and wanted to find something new to me, something exciting, something with guitars, drums, and singing. So I tried a David Bowie show from the heart of the '80s. It is the most 80's thing I could imagine. The Randy Rhoads's guitar sound, and the exaggerated acting of the band. The decorations with the neon lights and bowie's hair. I enjoyed this show so much that I thought about it afterward the entire weekend. It even features Peter Frampton on lead guitar!
French sexy psychedelic rock
When Emmanuelle heard Down Underground by Limiñanas in a Gossip Girl episode, she decided to visit them at their house in South of France to see if they can record a song together.
The association
After hearing for the first time the classic hit song “Never my love” in an episode of the NETFLIX show Outlander, I wanted to know if the album is as good. It is.
